I know that the text on the pictures are hard to read but, the next 2 dogs that you will read about are FAITH and HOPE. They were both found starving in an apartment for 4 weeks with no signs of food or water, they were dehydrated and in pretty rough shape. I believe that HOPE is Faith's mother and that HOPE let FAITH consume their own waste to stay alive. Hope looked really bad (skinny) though Faith looked pot bellied, probably due to the worms. Even after being neglected like this they both love people very much. They are a little protective of their food with other dogs, Hope more then Faith) but, they are learning to share and are doing very well about it. I guess that you can't blame them. Faith was 15lbs when she was found (she was roughly 1.5-2 yrs old) Hope was 21lbs when found and she was about 5yrs old. These dogs are both yellow lab/mix, it was a terrible siteCry  If you see them now Laughing  you wouldn't even recognize them. They are doing great and are getting along with all dogs big/small, even CATS!! Faith is now 40lbs and Hope is 50lbs, what a difference! I wanted to adopt them out together but, nobody wanted them that way. I figured if they went through all of this together then that's how I will keep them  I chose that they will stay right here with me and all of their new friends. I will personally make sure that they will never have to go through something like that ever again.

HEAVEN, a 45lbs pit-bull /lab mix was found roaming the streets of Connecticut. She had an obvious mass cell tumor growing right out of her upper gum area. She was taken to the pound where she was going to be put down. A special A.C.O. I know took it upon herself to try as hard as she could to give HEAVEN a chance. She contacted everyone she knew and she found us and knew that we would do our best for Heaven. Heaven was brought to a couple of vets. They tested her tumor and it came back as a hard tumor called Osteosarcoma. There wasn't much hope for her due to the rapid progression of the tumor. The only chance was to completely remove her nose and use aggressive radiation, even with that treatment the cancer will come back. HEAVEN also has it in her lymph-nodes which is not helping. knowing that there wasn't much hope, i met a man who did animal healing using Qigong healing which was a technique that he had learned from his master. After 2 weeks of 2hr sessions every-other day, unbelievably Heaven's tumor dramatically started to decrease. I also gave her supplements in her diet (IP-6 & Inositol, flaxseed oil, and beta carotene) I fed her less carbs, yogurt, cottage cheese, and I put her on a raw food diet. Heaven was brought back to the vet and the vet's mouth dropped. 1st of all he couldn't believe that she put on 12lbs in 2 weeks, we asked him to do another biopsy of the tumor and when he did so he realized that the tumor was no longer hard but soft. He sent out the biopsy to a lab and when the results came in they came back as a different kind of cancer tumor called Fibro sarcoma. The vet looked baffled and looked at us and said, whatever you are doing keep doing it, Heaven is doing great. her coat is soft and shiny and her activity level is super high!

We will keep everyone posted on Heaven's progress, keep your fingers crossed Laughing

Heaven

Heaven, fetching her stick, she loves to swim.                                                      She seems to look and take it all in.
